March 2018 meeting notes

Here’s a recap of the March 20, 2018 meeting with Rob, Dieter, Ken, Gregg, Doug, Tin, Colin, Pete, and Matt

  • Doug gave us a presentation on Psychic Bunny after that we processed Doug’s issue “How to get better response from his Email Campaign”.  By the end of this month, Doug agreed to:
    • Send a 2nd email with changes
    • Segment his list by geography and send message offering to meet there
    • Start to broaden and expand his list
  • After that we processed Dieter’s issue “How do I set up an employee bonus system”.  That question changed to “How do I create a better culture for employees”.    Dieter agreed to:
    • Have a profit sharing plan in place by July
    • Engage with employees to see what they want by June
  • We then broke into groups of 3 to discuss the “One Thing” that you just haven’t been able to change or conquer.

  • Karen Hayward then presented Gearing Up for Growth.  Some of the highlights were:
    • We learned about the KPI: Net Promoter Score to see what customers think of us.  To get yours, go to www.asknicely.com or www.promoter.io
    • We also learned about Website Grader to see how strong our websites rank and what weaknesses should be addressed.  Here’s how we rated:
      • TYS Creative: 82, missing SEO
      • PXL Bros: 92
      • Comco: 79, performance
      • CMC Marketing: 61, performance, SEO, no security certificate
      • Metrex Valve: 69, lacking SEO
      • Psychic Bunny: 82, no security certificate
      • Breakwater: 79, 15/30 for mobile
      • Output: 94
      • Bulk Beef Jerky: 82, SEO, Performance

    • Our next meeting at Comco has changed to Tuesday April 24th, look for a revised invitation in your email box.
    • Our June meeting at Output has changed to Thursday June 21st, look for a revised invitation for this also.
